What do you think guys, what is the importance of parent teachers meet, for the parents as well as for the teachers? Complain!complain!complain! And who is the victim? The poor child. Both the parties want to save their skin putting the blame on the child entirely. Very few parents and teachers think differently. 

Suppose " X got a notice from his teacher that next saturday would be a parent teachers meet. He started panicking since then, he was unable to decide whether to give the notice to his parents or not. Finally he decided to crumble and throw it in the dustbin. Anyhow his parent came to know about the meeting through some sources.
X was scolded badly by them. They started preparing a ground, discussing matter amongst each other which they would bring to the teachers notice in the meeting."
Another case is about a naughty boy in the same class, who is a target for all the teachers. 
What should be the purpose of such meetings? To humiliate the child in front of others or find out solutions to his problems. I think the latter one is more appropriate .

How to prepare yourself for the meeting (parent).

• Know your child's strength and weaknesses.
• Observe him regularly. 
• Prepare a routine for your child and be involved. 
• Check his books and copies regularly. 
• Take interest in his interest and lend him your ears to listen to him patiently.
• Dine together. That is the best time to spend with your child even if you are over busy.
• Don't be judgmental always. Listen to the teachers but have faith on your child.
• Try to find out solutions to the problems faced by him in the school instead of humiliating and punishing him.
